KXLYRadioGroup.jpgThe Empire’s sixteen-game regular season schedule, eight home and eight away games, will be broadcast live on AM 700 ESPN Spokane.

Larry Weir, longtime voice of EWU basketball and the Shock, will return for the 2016 season for game broadcasts and as the feature host of the Empire Coach’s Show. There will also be appearances by Dennis Patchin, Keith Osso, Mike Peterson, and other special guests throughout the season.

Game broadcasts will begin thirty-minutes prior to kickoff featuring weekly interviews with Head Coach Adam Shackleford and Empire players. A post-game recap will follow each match-up.

The Empire’s 2016 home schedule will also feature a number of KXLY Radio Group’s stations as presenting game night partners. Tune in to each station throughout the season and leading up to home games for special promotions, contests, and giveaways:

  • Saturday, February 27: Big 99.9 FM Coyote Country
  • Friday, April 1: Rock 94.5 FM
  • Saturday, April 9: 92.9 ZZU FM
  • Friday, April 29: Hot 96.9 FM

Azteca-mexican.jpg(March 24th update): The Spokane Empire and Azteca announced today the Empire Coach’s Show will be moving to Monday nights for the remainder of the 2016 season and will be live from the Spokane Valley Mall Azteca located at 14700 E Indiana Avenue #1080 beginning March 28th.

The weekly show will continue to air live from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to join Larry Weir, Coach Shackleford, and Empire players every Monday for the remainder of the season at the Spokane Valley Azteca for the latest team news and updates.
